The Hönigwirt is not only a culinary highlight in the centre of Kirchschlag. A successful combination of inn and hotel awaits guests. In the family business founded in 1884 in the Vienna Alps in Lower Austria, traditions are preserved and nature and its gifts are appreciated. This is also reflected in the menu. The two landlords Ilona and Christoph Hönig think regionally and seasonally. In addition to refined steaks from the in-house maturing cabinet, the daily specials always include offal. The carrot and ginger foam soup with lobster bread or the roast duck with red cabbage and napkin dumplings will be remembered for a long time. The strawberry parfait with marinated strawberries is fruity and sweet.

What is life's greatest pleasure? That's right, love and wine. At the Hönigwirt, wine has an inimitable status. The pride of senior innkeeper Fritz Hönig is his wine cellar. As wine councillor of the Pannonian Wine Knighthood, he guards many a treasure and is happy about every opportunity for wine tasting. In addition to the exquisite selection of wines, it is the honest and well-crafted inn cuisine that inspires enthusiasm. The homemade juices, jams, schnapps and beers illustrate the striving for a perfect taste experience. All delicacies are served in the elegant Landhausstüberl, in the rustic guest room with wood panelling, winter garden or in the newly designed inner courtyard with terrace.
