- There are regional trains to Gutenstein.
- A bus stop with connecting buses to Waldegg-Dürnbach is located right next to the station.
Starhemberg castle ruins
Half an hour's walk from Dreistetten station is the large Starhemberg castle ruins. Although access is forbidden due to the danger of collapse, it is worth a visit just to be able to look at these huge walls from the outside. And some impressive views are not long in coming.
Tip: Take a detour to the Scherrerwirt local history museum, which is just a few minutes' walk from the castle ruins. Leopold Scherrer, who is known in the region for his passion for collecting, created, with the exhibits collected over time, a guest room that tells stories and is hard to beat in terms of cosiness.
