Station Obereggendorf

The large, multi-lane Obereggendorf station is located on the outskirts of its namesake cadastral municipality in the Lower Austrian district of Wiener Neustadt-Land. In addition to an installed ticket vending machine in front of the reception building, sanitary facilities are also available to visitors of the station. A number of parking spaces for cars and bicycles make it easy to get on and off the train.

Route information

The station Obereggendorf is located on the route of the Pottendorfer Linie.

• Trains of the S60 line are used on the way to the main station to Vienna and Bruck an der Leitha.
• Trains of the S60 line to Wiener Neustadt are also served.
• Connecting buses can be reached directly at the station forecourt.

The Needle Castle

A nice walk of about half an hour from the station Obereggendorf later you can reach the needle castle museum of the neighbouring community Lichtenwörth. To be more precise, there is the Nadelburg, a contemporary workers' settlement, which was due to the local factory. The privately run museum shows numerous pieces, which convey the origin and development of this unique facility and thus hold a real treasure of museum culture and is definitely worth a visit.
