Stadttheater Wiener Neustadt

The Stadttheater Wiener Neustadt will be structurally modernized and completely reorganized over the next few years. The reopening will take place in time for the 230th anniversary in autumn 2024 as the Landestheater Niederösterreich!

Enchanting city theater with the flair of large stages. Today's municipal theater is located in a former monastery church on Herzog-Leopold-Strasse. The opening of the theater dates back to 1794. There is one of only 3 working Wagner curtains left in the whole of Europe, as well as an active, extremely rare revolving stage. Today, the modernized theater, which has retained its historic charm, seats 600 spectators. The Iron Curtain was designed by the painter Wolfgang Hutter.

The program ranges from children's theater to operettas. The theater can also be rented, and there are also special tours of the theater for children.

The theater consists of the areas ground floor, 1st and 2nd tier with classic theater seating.

The stage is a great place to celebrate: birthdays, Christmas parties, company events, panel discussions, performances, speeches, anniversaries.
